Sadia Siddiqui is an Indian film and television actress who has been acting since 1993. She has been awarded Best Actress in supporting role for Balika Vadhu by the Indian Television Academy. She is also seen in the play Barff. Sadiya Siddique has fabricated her attendance acquainted in Bollywood flicks like Hazaar Chaurasi Ki Maa Just Marrued Uff! Yeh Mohabbat Droh Kaal Little Buddha Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa Raghu Romeo Kali Salwaar and Shabd .
Sadiya has worked equally in films and television serials. But she is known more for her portrayals in serials than in films. She has often been depicted as a woman with a melancholic disposition. In 2002, she had played the role of a prostitute named Sultana in Fareeda Mehta’s film Kali Salwaar. She is depicted as a small town prostitute who moves to a metropolis with her pimp but her business fails and she is left only to despair. In one of her latter serials Sasural Genda Phool (2010-12), she plays the role of an adopted daughter Radha who has been raised by a nuclear family. In the 2011 serial Hum, she plays the role of a poor widow whose husband is a blacksmith who gets killed for not being able to repay a loan. In 2007 she even performed as a forlorn woman in the music video Hold it in My Heart for the pop band State of Bengal. Here, she played an Indian woman whose husband moves to Iraq as a chef, but is killed due to an outbreak of violence there.
